The Mascot
The Reluctant Cyborg mascot is symbolic of the future humanity has envisioned for itself. He’s already a little worse for wear as the dream has aged, but he’s still earnest and well-meaning.
Posing/animating
In the process of animating or positioning the model, it's critical to focus on the character's anatomical nuances, like the separation line on the foot and the spiral encircling the antenna. Adjustments to the pupils and the dense black borders are essential for crafting the intended facial expressions. Given the character's absence of a mouth, expressing emotions hinges solely on the use of the eyes.
Making it come alive
Despite not being a requirement in the original project briefing, a 3D model of the character "Reluctant Cyborg" was crafted purely for the sake of enjoyment. This creative detour provided an opportunity to bring the character to life in a novel and dynamic way. Showing off this 3D model as part of the project serves as a fun and interesting bonus, offering a glimpse into the character in a more "alive" and tangible form.
The Logo
The logo of the project is a sophisticated fusion of the mascot with a sober, sleek, and readable typeface, as the illustration already possesses a considerable amount of detail. The high-fidelity mascot is incorporated into the logo because the character itself was crafted collaboratively by expert designers to symbolically embody the project's concept with utmost precision.
